Top 10 Finishes
IM Kona Qualified

Nathan comes from an International swimming background, competing against some of the top professional athletes around the World. He was a full-time athlete for over 5 years and achieved numerous Welsh swimming titles.

Once ending his swimming career, he wanted something to aim for, so decided to turn his attention to triathlon. During his first year of triathlon, Nathan instantly fell in love with the sport. In 2016 he entered his first Ironman in Austria. He managed to complete Ironman Austria in a respectable time of 9.39.42 and was instantly hooked to the long distance race.

During the 2016 season, Nathan also qualified to represent GBR at the European Olympic Distance Championships in Kitzbuhel, Austria, where he finished in the top 10.

Moving into the 2017 season, Nathan decided to compete at Ironman Wales, a local Ironman and one that is known as one of the hardest courses in the World. Nathan has always coached and trained himself and was rewarded at Ironman Wales with a 3rd place finish in the 30-34 age group, but more importantly earned himself an automatic qualifying slot for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii 2018.

He has gone onto qualify for Kona multiple times and in 2019, he had his best season to date, finishing 3rd at Challenge Roth (8.43), 1st at Ironman Cozumel (8.40) and 1st overall amateur at Ironman Wales (9.36).

Devising his own training plan and sessions, Nathan understands what it takes to achieve Kona qualification. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in swimming, which has been accumulated from over 25 years of training and competing at the highest level.

After completing his Level 2 British Triathlon Coaching award in 2017, Nathan set up his coaching business NFT. He wanted to pass on his knowledge and experience in triathlon, to help others become the best athlete they can. To educate them, coach them and to mentor them. He is truly dedicated to the athletes on TEAM NFT and always strives to help each and everyone of the athletes he coaches.  From beginners to Elite athletes, sprint distance to Kona qualifiers, Nathan gives each person the same amount of time and respect they deserve.

He has a great group of athletes representing TEAM NFT and is extremely grateful to every one of them. So whether you are just starting out on your triathlon journey, or aiming to qualify for the World Championships, get in touch to see what TEAM NFT can offer.
